Home protection during
rainy season
During periods of frequent rainstorms, window leakage is one of the most common problems encountered by every household. When it is serious, it will not only lead to damage to the interior decoration, but also may cause property damage, which brings a lot of inconvenience to daily life.
Poor sealing is the main cause of leaking Windows. The wall thickness of some doors and Windows profiles on the market does not meet the requirements of the code, which produces serious deformation, tensile cracking or glass breakage under normal wind load, reducing the air tightness and water tightness of doors and Windows.
When purchasing doors and Windows, the wall thickness of the profiles should reach the international standard of 1.8mm or more to strengthen the ability to resist wind pressure. The cavity should be equipped with a multi-channel sealing design and drainage system to effectively resist wind and rain. The sealing strip is anti-aging, high temperature and corrosion resistant to achieve the effect of watertight.
Clogged drainage holes are also one of the common causes of leaking Windows. If the position of the drainage holes is too high or dust particles accumulate, the rain in the window slots will be full, causing the wall and floor to be damp.
If it is found that the window drainage is not smooth, check whether there is debris in the window slot, clean the drainage hole, and keep the drainage sink unblocked.
Weather-resistant sealant is used for connecting gaps in doors and Windows, which can achieve the effect of tight silk and tight seam. External wall waterproof coating materials can be selected around the window frame to fill uneven walls and cracks to enhance the sealing effect.
